New Estate Plantings
We've been busy at our Russell-Grooters Vineyard, and not only tending the Pinot for Roads End and Cape Lookout. Now we have four acres newly planted with four white varietals:
- Sauvignon Blanc
- Pinot Gris
- Pinot Blanc
- Auxerrois Blanc
- Riesling
It'll be a while yet before the vines yield fruit and you start seeing Carlton Cellars whites in bottle. Expect the first fruit in 2010. Be patient! Meanwhile, no better way to pass the time than with the 2006 Roads End and Cape Lookout Pinot Noirs and our very limited-run 2007 Agate Beach Pinot Noir Rosé.
Harvest Dinners & Picnics in the Vineyard
Stay tuned — we're cooking up big plans for harvest-season dinners and picnics in our breathtaking hillside vineyard just outside of Carlton.
