Crush 2007 details

Fall harvest is on its way and we need a hand choosing the grapes that will go into the 2007 vintage of Roads End Pinot Noir. In fact, we need a lot of hands.

We'll be joining forces with our vineyard neighbors Raptor Ridge and Atticus to assemble what we're calling the Carlton Crush Collective. Together we'll get the grapes sorted for all three wineries.

Crush is good fun, hard work, and there's just no better way to get involved with the wines you love than to get your hands* on the grapes that go into them. There will be plenty of camaraderie, food — and, rumor has it, a little wine — to go around. And everyone who joins the Carlton Crush Collective will be treated to a great post-Crush thank-you dinner (not to mention a sharp T-shirt).

Best of all you won't be out in the weather (as is the practice with many wineries). Our sorting lines will be comfortably indoors, in our brand new winery facility in Carlton. Downright luxurious, as crushes go. (If you've joined us for Crush before, take note that this year we're no longer in the Ken Wright Cellars building, but in our new Carlton Cellars Winery building next door.)

So roll up your sleeves and join us. Exact dates will depend on the grapes and the weather, so email us or give us a call at (503)852-7888 and we'll let you know as soon as the grapes are ready. We'll also post current info on this web page, so keep us bookmarked.

*Nope, you won't be using your feet. Pinot Noir demands a finer touch.
